Argenta Health LLC dba Blue Q Health and Wellness is an in-network VA community care provider for Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Massage Therapy.
Veteran Community Care Network (VACCN)
We Care About You
We provide holistic healthcare services, and Chiropractic adjustments are the foundation of this care. At Blue Q, our goal is to check and adjust every man, woman, and child in our community for subluxation.
It is our intent to provide a drug free alternative for our patients so you may experience the most optimal health and wellness possible to live life to its fullest!
How the Community Care Network Works
When the VA can’t provide the care Veterans need at their facilities, they may authorize treatment through the Community Care Network (CCN). Blue Q Health is an active provider in the CCN. The network is managed by Optum Serve and TriWest Healthcare Alliance to ensure high standards of care and proper claims processing.
Eligibility for Community Care Outside the VA
You may be eligible to receive care outside the VA system, paid for by the VA, at Blue Q Health.
To qualify, you must meet both of the following:
- Be enrolled in or eligible for VA health care.
- Obtain approval from your VA health care team before receiving care from a community provider.
And meet at least one of the following:
- You need a service not offered at any VA facility.
- You live in a state/territory without a full-service VA health facility.
- You qualified under the 40-mile distance rule as of June 6, 2018.
- The VA facility can’t meet wait time or drive time standards.
- You and your VA provider agree that community care at Blue Q Health is in your best medical interest.
- Your local VA facility does not meet the VA’s quality care standards for the service you need.
Examples of Eligibility Scenarios
Drive and Wait Times
If the VA can't schedule an appointment for you within required drive or wait time standards, you may qualify for community care.
Specialty Care
Example: You need a specialty service like chiropractic care. The VA can't see you within 28 days or is more than a 60-minute drive away—you're eligible.
Quality Standards
Your local VA does not meet care standards (e.g., for musculoskeletal care). You may qualify for chiropractic care with us.
Primary or Mental Health Care
Example: You need a primary care visit within 20 days. The VA cannot meet this timeline or travel requirement—you're eligible for care at Blue Q Health.
Best Medical Interest
You’re undergoing ongoing treatment, and travel is a hardship (e.g., side effects from chemotherapy). You and your provider agree care at Blue Q Health is best.
Appeals
If your community care request is denied, you may appeal through the VA’s Clinical Appeals process. The facility’s chief medical officer or a designee will review your case and medical records.
How to Get Referrals and Schedule an Appointment
Step 1: Get a referral
Request a referral to Blue Q Health from your VA health care team. The VA will verify your eligibility and contact you to confirm. This may take up to 14 days.
Step 2: Schedule your appointment
You can schedule your appointment with Blue Q Health directly, or ask the VA to assist. If you self-schedule, notify your VA care team within 14 days so they can update your records.
Step 3: Receive your authorization letter
Once your appointment is scheduled, the VA will send an authorization letter confirming:
Your authorization number.
Details about your care and provider.
The duration and scope of your approved care.
Step 4: Attend your appointment
Bring any necessary documentation, such as MRIs or scans, as requested.
Step 5: Monitor your ongoing care
If continued care is approved, Blue Q Health will manage your follow-up appointments and track usage. The VA won’t cover services not listed in your authorization. To extend your care, a new referral may be needed.
